" Susan,

In September, one of our sister plants in Germany had a robot down and needed spare parts that we had in our USA facility to get the robot up and running again at their facility. The plant needed the parts within 24 hours or we would possibly shut down a customer.

We called DHL to have the product shipped “Over Night” at least that is what we paid for. I came to work the next day at 3 a.m. to follow up with DHL to determine the status of the order.

I was told by the one representative that DHL had on duty in Seattle at that time that the package was headed by ground to Chicago and it would take 3 days to get to Germany, and if I had a problem with that then someone would be in at 7 a.m. and that they could not help me any further than that at 3 a.m. In addition, I was told that once the package is headed to a destination that intercepting that product and getting it shipped by any other means would be next to impossible.

I then called Argents at the request of the shipping supervisor here at Shelby and he stated that “Argents could help us”.

Argents' representatives began helping me with this situation immediately. Your representative recommended that the package be intercepted by Argents in Chicago upon its arrival and from that point your company would make sure that the package arrived in Germany within the original 24 hour period.

We went with the idea that your company presented and the package arrived in Germany well within the time frame to have the robot repaired and ensuring that our customer requirements were met.

Argents representatives also gave us updates throughout the day as to the status of the package in flight, through customs and final delivery. The Argents representatives were professional, courteous, and most importantly dependable.
